Affliction

The Affliction Clothing Line has been an underground favorite of the rock and roll world for a while now and for good reason. Affliction Clothing stands out!
Affliction clothing is becoming more and more popular among all celebrities and appears to be the new clothing line for rock music.

Unfortunately, popular brands quickly become the target for counterfeiters in China and other countries.

How to Spot the fakes? Here are some simple clues:

Clue #1
Currently, all Affliction jeans are MADE IN THE USA and should be labeled as such. (Affliction Jackets and Boots are made in China)

Clue #2
Affliction jeans are also SHIPPED from the USA, NEVER CHINA or ASIA, so don't buy Affliction jeans on auctions from Chinese sellers

Clue #3
The "Affliction" logo found on the inside of the back of the jeans is ALWAYS embroidered and not silk screened. The color of the embroidery will usually match the stitch color of jeans. If they are "Red Label Premium" then the logo will be red, if the stitching is orange the label is orange, if blue then blue, etc. However there are certain designs where this is not always true so this is not a solid rule, check for inconsistencies by looking at the real jeans at the Affliction website (http://www.afflictionclothingstore.com) or at a local store.

Example:

Clue  #4:
Affliction jeans come with a metal dog tag necklace pendent on a black string. The string is like a shoe string that resembles leather.

Example:

Clue #5:
Affliction jeans include a silk screened sample patch of the inside of the leg pattern, this should be tied with the same black string that the necklace is, and never twine or other cheap string. The material should be a fine thread count and the printing should be crisp and not smudged.

Authentic on the left, fake on the right

Clue #6:
Affliction price tag cards are embossed with gold foil (for denim killers) and red foil for "Red Label Premium". Some fakes have a black and white printed card.

Example:

Clue #7
Another thing to keep in mind is that Affliction jeans are extremely well made. If you find a new pair of $300 jeans on eBay for $100 then you should be suspicious and ask for DETAILED photos.

The Best Advice:
However the best suggestion is simply NOT to buy your Affliction clothes from ANYONE except authorized dealers or better yet
directly from http://www.afflictionclothingstore.com

FAKES:

Notice these Shredded Red Label jeans, the stitching is not red on the seams like it supposed to be,
and the skulls and fire almost look silk screened, but not quality like originals.

Notice these fake winged skull jeans, the tag is not embossed with the reflective gold foil
and they have not been white washed properly. They shouldn't look spotty.
